Air Flow Control Valve (Accel II)

•  With the response speed of one second, it quickly stops toxic gas from diffusing.
•  It is insensitive to fluctuations in the internal pressures in the duct.
•  It needs no extra straight runs of the duct as margins for mounting.
•  It can be installed in both vertical and horizontal positions. (Options)
•  All the valve products are precisely calibrated at the factory.

Accel II Airflow Control Valve is a device to control airflow volume very quickly (with a response speed of one second or less) and highly precisely (with a precision of plus and minus 5% rdg.).
The valve is particularly effective in spaces like laboratories, clean rooms, animal rearing rooms, and hospitals, where safe and precise control of air currents is required. It has a self-actuated pressure regulating mechanism that varies airflow rate according to fluctuations in static pressures in the duct to maintain a set rate. It is equipped with a pneumatic actuator that allows very quick responses to any changes in required airflow rate. It also has an advanced function to acutely respond to opening and closing of sashes, for which conventional type valves were not fully provided.

Zone Presence Sensor™

Zone Presence Sensor (ZPS) detects presence of a person in front of a fume hood. When it senses a human presence, ZPS sends the fume hood monitoring system a signal for ‘normal operation’ to request a standard airflow rate for manned condition. When operators are absent, it signals for a stand-by, lower airflow rate mode. By switching the airflow rate automatically according to presence or absence of operators, it maximize energy and cost saving.

Fume Hood Monitor

Fume Hood Monitors are designed to be used for fume hoods with constant volume valves (CVV), two-position valves (BEV), or variable air volume valves (EXV).

•  When it is used for EXV, it controls the valves to maintain a constant face velocity.
•  The front panel LEDs show the system's operation status and alarms.
•  The emergency exhaust button is provided for forced exhaustion of gas.
•  An optionally available Zone Presence Sensor will allow the fume hood system to support an automatic stand-by mode for human absence that ensures energy saving operation. (This function is only available for EXV and BEV systems.)

Sash Sensors

Sash Sensors detect positioning of a fume hood sash to find the area size of sash opening. The signal from Sash Sensor is transmitted to Fume Hood Monitor that determines the required airflow rate and controls Airflow Control Valves to regulate the fume hood's face velocity to an appropriate level according to the sash status.

Make-up Air Controllers

Make-up Air Controllers are designed to be used with Airflow Control Valves. It sums up the exhaust flows from all the sources and determines the required supply air volume to control valves to maintain an appropriate room pressurization.

Master Summing Panel

Master Summing Panel is used for summing up the airflows from multiple sources. It calculates the total airflow volume from multiple spaces and gives output signals to be used to control exhaust fans or a building automation system. It also totals the airflows from multiple laboratory rooms and gives the result as output signals.

Power Supplies

Electronic devices for Critical Environment System require Power Supplies to operate.

Slim-line Monitor

Slim-line Monitor is designed to fit in fume hoods of various sizes. Icons (graphical buttons) are provided for simple and easy operation. It regulates the exhaust volume according to sash positioning to maintain a constant face velocity of fume hoods by sending airflow control signals to Airflow Control Valves (Accel II). The front panel LED lights let you know the hood's operating conditions. They stay green when the system operation is detected normal and turn red and give off alarm sounds whenever an alarm hood condition occurs.

Router and Repeater Modules

Router and Repeater Modules optimize communications by LonTalk®*¹ protocol supported by Celeris II systems.
*1: LonTalk® is the registered trademark of Echelon Corporation in the United States.
• Router :
Router is used to segment a group of Celeris II valves connected to the network (nodes) from the building's network system to build up a room-level sub-network.
• Repeater :
Repeaters are used to extend the building's network beyond 130 meters. There is no limit on the number of repeaters that can be connected to a single network.

Digital Type Air Flow Control Valve

Accel II Digital Type Airflow Control Valve is a device to control airflow volume very quickly (with a response speed of one second or less) and highly precisely (with a precision of plus and minus 5% rdg.).
The valve is particularly effective in spaces like laboratories, hazardous areas, clean rooms, animal laboratories, and hospitals, where high precision control of exhaust volumes and room pressurization is required.

Compact Cage Rack Valve

•  Compact Cage Rack Valve is accurately calibrated at the factory to make it precisely control airflow volumes to set points.
•  As the set points are manually changeable in an easy way, you can adjust the airflow rates in cage racks as your need.
•  They can automatically control the airflow volume responding to fluctuations in the system's static pressure to maintain a constant airflow rate.
•  No electrical power or pneumatic supplies are required to operate the valves. There are no probes for measuring airflow rate, either. So this type of valves allow simple installation and easy operation and besides do not require maintenance.

It is important for an animal housing facility's ventilation control system to stabilize the environment to minute levels at any time. For that, maintenance of a proper pressurization and supply of clean, thermally conditioned air as well as removal of unclean, heat- and moisture-laden air are required. Accel II cage rack valves enables sophisticated airflow volume control to ensure the safety of the environment at the room level as well as at cage and device levels.

Active Pressure Monitor

Active Pressure Monitor accurately measures and display pressure differentials between two rooms or spaces, where pressurization is of critical importance. To ensure a high degree of precision, it is designed to be able to measure differential pressures and give alarms with accuracy to within 5%. So it is suitable for use in laboratory animal facilities, hospitals, research laboratories, and clean rooms.
