Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) is a public agency founded with the objective of effectively accumulating and disseminating information regarding science and technology. In 1995 the Japan Research and Development Corporation (JRDC) and the Japan Information Center of Science and Technology (JICST) merged into Japan Science and Technology Corporation, which, later designated as an Independent Administrative Institution in 2003, was renamed Japan Science and Technology Agency. JST's information services include Jdream II (JST Document Retrieval System for Academic and Medical Fields), a web-based document retrieval system, from which huge number of documents regarding science, technology, and medicine are available online.
