1953 Joint venture between Yamatake Keiki and Honeywell launched, with Yamatake Keiki doubling capital to 24 million yen and Honeywell investing 50 percent in the partnership. Honeywell maintains 50% interest until 1974.
1956 Yamatake-Honeywell Keiki is the name of the new company
1966 Corporate name changed to Yamatake-Honeywell
Capital increased to 4,200 million yen
1989 / 10 Divestment of 16 percent of Yamatake shares by Honeywell
1990 / 3 Honeywell divests an additional 9.85 percent of its Yamatake shares, reduces investment to 24.15 percent, or 20.29 million shares
1990 / 11 New Strategic Alliance agreement signed to replace former partnership
1997 / 2 Exercise of warrants raises capital to 10,509 million yen. Honeywell still holds 20.29 million shares, but its interest in the company falls to 21.67 percent.
1997 / 10 Strategic alliance amended to strategic business unit agreements
1998 / 5 Ownership of Yamatake shares held by Honeywell is transferred to its wholly-owned subsidiary, Honeywell Asia Pacific Inc.
1998 / 7 Yamatake-Honeywell changed its name to Yamatake Corporation
1999 / 6 Honeywell and Allied Signal merge, new corporate name is Honeywell International Inc.
2000 / 8 Stock-for-stock exchange agreement with Yamatake & Co., Ltd. establishes this trading company as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yamatake. This share exchange increases Yamatake's capital to 10,522 million yen and reduces Honeywell's stake in Yamatake to 21.61 percent.
2000 / 12 Share buyback effected by Yamatake with purchase from Honeywell of 9.3 million Yamatake shares. Honeywell still owns 10.99 million Yamatake shares, or 12.99 percent stake in Yamatake.
2002 / 7 Yamatake repurchases from Honeywell the remaining 10.99 million shares. The equity relationship between the two companies ends.
