LCA(Life Cycle Assessment) is a comprehensive evaluation method for quantitatively measuring the environmental impact generated throughout a product’s lifecycle; from materials procurement, through to manufacturing transport, usage and disposal. In addition to LCA, the Yamatake Group has implemented Environmental Design Assessment since fiscal year 2000. This guideline promotes the development of new products that are environmentally conscious at every stage of its lifecycle: from design, manufacturing, usage and disposal.

LCA evaluation results of Infilex AC

Shown below are LCA evaluation results of the Infilex AC air conditioning controller. Compared to previous products, the new Infilex AC reduced its environmental impact by 34%.

In fiscal year 2004 an LCA evaluation was carried out for Green Remote Control Panel, Green Remote Control Panel II and the results are given below. (Photo of Green Remote Control Panel II.) By realizing no-paint body panels, the Green Remote Control Panel II has reduced its environmental impact by 30% compared with its previous model, the Green Remote Control Panel.
