Environmental education
at an overseas affiliate
As each employees awareness of the environment is thought to be the main driving force in carrying out environmental preservation activities, Yamatake has positioned environmental education as a key issue. We provide environmental education by level, specialty and factory, starting with general environmental education through to training to acquire the knowledge and skills closely related to their work. We also carry out our original role-playing course for internal auditors, or key persons who promote environmental activities. In FY2005 there were 122 environmental key persons throughout Japan. Furthermore, to expand our environmental conservation activities abroad, we introduced EMS promotion training to overseas affiliate employees, and added environmental education as part of the relocation training for Japanese employees assigned to overseas posts. We are also making effort in the training of environmental key persons at our overseas affiliates.
